How do I apply?

How do I know my application has been received?
An automated email will be sent to you stating that your application has been received.
What is the hiring process like?
Once submitted, applications will be reviewed by the department hiring manager. Only those candidates COSI intends to interview will be contacted. Once the selection for the position is complete, all applicants who applied will receive communication that the position has been closed and we are no longer selecting for that particular position.
Is a background check required as part of the hiring process?
All COSI job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of our pre-employment screening process, which includes a background check. The background check is initiated after you have accepted your conditional job offer and is managed by our vendor, Justifacts. If you have questions about the results of your background check, contact Justifacts directly at 800.356.6885.
I am already a COSI Team Member, where do I apply?
Current COSI Team Members can view open positions by logging into ADP, going to the Myself tab > Talent > Career Center.
How long will my application stay on file?
COSI keeps all applications on file for two years.
Can I apply for multiple positions?
Yes, you can apply for any position that interests you and your application will be reviewed by the hiring manager for each position.
I made a mistake on my application, how do I make changes?
Carefully review your application and materials prior to submission. Once submitted, your materials cannot be replaced, deleted or modified.
I saved an application to finish later, how do I find and finish it?
To see the list of job openings for which you have applied, select “Sign In” at the top left of the page and follow the prompts to log in. Once logged in, select the “My Applications” tab to find the position and complete the application. *Note: The position must still be currently posted on the website to complete the saved application.

Background & Reference Checking
Since every person who works at COSI comes into contact with the public, all positions are subject to criminal background checks. Any offers for employment are preceded by a criminal reference check or made contingent upon acceptable results of this check. Verification of the past 7 years of employment and education claims listed may be conducted as well as contacting all references listed.

Substance Abuse Testing
In order to ensure the safety of the public and fellow Team members, COSI may require testing of applicants, and employment may be conditional upon passing a drug test.
