AMENITIES & ACCESSIBILITY
Stroller, Wheelchair, and Electric Scooter Rentals
The Guest Services Desk in the Atrium rents single strollers, wagons, wheelchairs, and electric mobility scooters. Accepted forms of payment include cash or credit card. A driver’s license is required to rent any of these items for the day. Funds from mobility device rentals help to support COSI’s mission as a non-profit science center. Mobility devices are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Daily rental rates are:
Single Stroller: $10
Wagons: $15
Wheelchair: FREE
Electric Mobility Scooter: $25
Exhibit & Theater Access
Every exhibit is handicapped accessible through the four elevators located throughout the building.
First Aid
Basic first aid supplies (band-aids, ice packs, etc.) are available at the Guest Services desk. In addition, a first aid room is located behind the Guest Services desk in the Atrium.
Lockers
Large lockers are available for $1 per use and are located on Level 1 and the Mezzanine Level for your convenience.
Lost & Found
COSI provides lost and found services at the Guest Services desk in the Atrium. Items that are turned in to lost and found can be claimed during business hours. Items can be mailed to the owner for a small fee.
Elevators
The main elevator is located in the Atrium. In addition, there are two additional elevators located in the north and south wings of the building. There is also an elevator just inside COSI’s East Entry that allows access out to Washington Boulevard as well as COSI’s Central High Meeting Room.
Family Restrooms
COSI offers family restrooms on all exhibit levels. Changing tables are available in both men’s and women’s restrooms.
little kidspace®
COSI provides an interactive and participatory environment just for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergartners, and first graders. The little kidspace® area offers many amenities for families to use while exploring this exhibition area. The amenities include a bottle warmer, and a nursing room.
Smoking Areas
COSI’s designated smoking areas are outside of the East and West entrances to COSI. The West Entry area is located by the Dinosaur sculptures and the East Entry area is located on English Plaza adjacent to Washington Boulevard. Both areas are equipped with benches and bins.
Public Telephone
A phone for guest use is available at the Atrium Guest Services desk. See a COSI Team Member for assistance if you need to make a call.
Calming Room
The Calming Room, located on the first floor near the Guest Services desk, can be used by overstimulated children and individuals who need a brief moment away from the COSI environment. The Calming Room is free for use by families with children on the autism spectrum or with other cognitive conditions. Please inquire at COSI’s Guest Services Desk for details. The calming room is available whenever COSI is open.

Where do I park?
The City of Columbus & LAZ owns and operates both an underground and above ground garage west of COSI. There are also a variety of other parking options including street meters, surface lots and much more all within a 10 minute walk to our building. Parking rates vary based on location and other events going on in the downtown area. Click here for more details.
What is the status of my COSI Membership?
COSI Memberships were extended for the amount of time that COSI was temporarily closed (from March 13, 2020 to June 3, 2021). That way on June 3, when COSI reopened, you had the same amount of time that was left on your Membership when COSI closed. This also applies to Memberships purchased during COSI’s closure. Membership expiration dates were automatically adjusted.

We are unable to re-print tickets at COSI. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Guests may arrive at any time on the date of their reservation.
What COSI entrance do I use to enter?
Please use COSI’s main entrance on the west side of the building (facing Dorrian Green park).

What is COSI's policy regarding face coverings?
In accordance with the changes to the Franklin County and State of Ohio mandates, COSI will no longer require guests to wear masks. We still strongly encourage our guests to make the individual decision to continue to wear a mask.
